ReadRise Literacy
Welcome to the ReadRise Literacy Program
The ReadRise Literacy Program is an innovative and research-based reading intervention designed to help struggling readers in grades 5-8 advance their literacy skills. The program specifically targets students reading more than two grade levels below, with a goal of improving their reading skills by one full grade level within our 45 sessions.
What Makes ReadRise Unique?
- Proven Research-Based Strategies: The curriculum is based on the Science of Reading, using evidence-backed methods to improve reading fluency, phonemic awareness, comprehension, and decoding skills.
- Engaging and Hands-On Lessons: Lessons are interactive and designed to encourage active participation from students.
- Flexible 45-Day Units: Our program runs three days a week, with flexible scheduling to fit the needs of schools.
- Nothing Additional for Teachers: As this is a pilot program, there is no additional burden on your teachers. Our team will bring in all the necessary materials and staff to work with a group of 10 fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth graders for 60 minutes, 3 times a week. This program is designed to enhance the great work you’re already doing.
- Personalized Assessments: We closely monitor progress through regular assessments, ensuring that instruction is tailored to meet each student’s specific needs.
How Does It Work?
- Program Length: Each unit lasts 45 days or 45 sessions (60 minutes each), with 15 weeks of guided instruction. There are four units in total, however the pilot program is for the first unit only.
- Meeting Times: Sessions are held three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
- Targeted Skills: Focus on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Measurable Progress: By the end of each unit, students are expected to improve by one full grade level in reading.
